Summer Wardrobe: How to Cover Up and Stay Cool

shirt: old navy, skirt: jcrew, bracelets: jcrew, banana republic (old), necklaces: anthropologie
As days stretch long across the center of calendars, follow suit with equally long lengths in your summer apparel.

Adjust all-season wardrobe winners like a long-sleeve cotton oxford via a casual edit, as coy and convenient as a well earned nickname.  This truncated treasure will ice your edge.

Simultaneously lower your leg-line and feel the temperature drop with the breeze of open circulation. Opt for a full cut, allowing fabric to billow about rather than cling around your figure,  ensuring that moisture can wick sans clothing stick.

This entire ensemble has survived 107 degree and peak park hours with two toddlers at Disneyland.  It has my officious summer seal of approval.

fuller skirts and dresses also allow for functional pockets, plenty of volume for a purse worth of supplies

Beautiful! That's the way to look while wandering a theme park! (Much better than the sloppy t-shirt and cargo shorts that too many mamas sport...meandering all day in the sun is not an excuse to be sloppy!)
I LOVE that skirt!
And I have to thank you--after your class I attended a couple of weeks ago at Bonnie W's house, I am feeling much more confident and adventuresome in my fashion choices! I even mixed patterns last Sunday which is a first for me! Thanks!

I tried the shirt and full skirt today, I am still too hot. Does it have something to do with the 48% humidity? You however look cute. Love those kiddos.

You look charming! You could pose with confidence next to any princess in the park!

I did wear skirts on our Disney World trip, but I am pretty sure I could not have managed a collar and sleeves. I do think humidity may be the issue...
